For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 700g icing sugar
- 125g cream cheese
- 100g softened butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oven and Pans:
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
2. Make the Cake Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the sunflower oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract, and mix well.
